A leadership committee was held, Thursday, November 7, at 4:00p.m. at the Versailles Municipal Building on Main Street, with the primary purpose of reviewing the changes made to the two design option, as determined by feedback, and for the committee to make a recommendation on which design option to move forward with.

- Architect update on design process
- Architects Kevin Locke and Brian Buckner updated the committee on the changes of the two design proposals per the feedback from the leadership team and from two meeting with WCHS faculty. Those changes included, but were not limited to:
- Angling the wings of the classroom hallways to create wider green spaces.
- Minimizing hallway turns in back hallways to allow more sight lines
- Intentionally including areas for possible future additions
- Changes to traffic patterns on site plans
- Use of band and vocal rooms as mandated storm shelters to provide safety as well as extra layers of sound proofing.
- Inclusion of track and practice soccer field as part of initial design.
- Dramatic changes to the exterior design to create a more "traditional" exterior look that matches the style of Woodford County. Including:
- Sloped rough on front of design similar to middle school and more traditional
- Increased used of "traditional" construction materials on exterior, such as much more brick.
- Inclusion of columns in all design options
- Heavier base finished on the exterior for aesthetic reasons
- More formal and pronounced entry way/front of building. These changes included:
- Clear indication of front of building
- Blending in finishes on exterior where the music rooms extend in the front of building to provide more seamless transition of area.
- Use of ceiling height changes in entry way to create a "grand" entrance into the building.
- Team discussed the advantages and disadvantages of all design options with a multitude of questions asked of the architects and thorough answers provided.
- All committee members shared the advantages of each design in terms of the groups they represent as part of the leadership committee.
- The group reached a decision on design option for New Woodford County High School with the core of the design being the "Learning Street Design."
- The committee encouraged the architects to continue to look for avenues to make the exterior look traditional and match the heart of the agricultural community that makes Woodford great.

- Community Forum Discussion and Planning
- Team discussed the upcoming community forum the board of education is holding.
- Board members expressed the desire to have the design shared at the meeting with the process of how the design was arrived at explained.
- Board members informed the committee they will discuss the structure of the community night at upcoming board meetings and then determine steps forward for sharing the work of the committee that night.
